If you’re looking for an easy to use, no-frills luggage scale, the Dunheger digital luggage scale might be your best bet. With one simple operating button, this scale gets the job done quickly and precisely.
WHO MAKES IT
Described on their website as a “lifestyle brand for outdoor lovers,” Dunheger is a big proponent of the traveler/adventurer’s way of life. While they don’t currently offer much else in the way of travel equipment, their website does feature some apparel and an up and coming travel blog. Their luggage scale was also selected to be in the 2016 Golden Globes gift bag, so at the very least you’ll be toting the same luggage scale as a few celebrities.

HOW IT WORKS
Using this scale is extremely intuitive and straightforward. Just press the on button, hook the strap around the handle of your luggage, and lift the scale horizontally. In just a few seconds the scale will beep and provide the reading on a well-lit and easy to read blue LCD screen. You do want to make sure you’re holding it horizontally; holding it at an angle may offer a slightly different reading. To switch from pounds to kilograms, just press and hold the on/off button.
I appreciated how easy this was to use. I’m not one for complicated technology, so the fact that I could just pick it up and use it without bothering to read the manual was a plus. The handle-like design allows you to use two hands to lift, if your bag is heavy and you need to use two hands. The carrying case is also a nice bonus, as it keeps the strap from getting caught or tangled with anything else that might be in your bag.
Overall
The Dunheger luggage scale is as easy to use as it is to throw into your carry on. This scale is for pretty much anyone, whether you’re always traveling or you’re a non-frequent flyer just looking to avoid baggage fees. For $12.99, it’s a really great value as well.
